LNP showing their colours with approach to Super

The history of the Liberal National Party Government in opposing superannuation goes back to the 1980’s & 90’s when workers had to fight for it to be a universal right instead of an entitlement given mainly to politicians and white collar executives.

Since then they’ve opposed every increase to the Super Guarantee contribution, and more recently allowed workers to access their retirement funds to get them over Covid-19 economic hardships to their future detriment.

This is a very good explanation of the truth behind the Tories excuses for not increasing our super contributions to 12%.
