You can join the ETU if you work in the following trades or industries:

Manufacturing

Foundry

Mechanical

Aircraft

Service Technicians

Shipbuilding - maintaining and breaking

Railway - infrastructure and rolling stock
Tradespeople, Apprentices and Non Tradespeople are all eligible.
Plumbing and Pipe Trades are covered by the PPTEU. Join the PPTEU here.

How much does it cost to join the Electrical Trades Union?
Membership fees are billed per financial year and calculated pro-rata based on the date you join (from your join date to 30/06/21). You can choose to pay for your membership via invoice, credit card (payment upfront) or via direct debit deductions.
Annual Membership Fees for 2020 / 2021
Union dues are 100% tax deductible
$752.00 - Tradespersons
$686.60 - Non-Tradesperson or Adult Apprentice
$281.00 - Junior Apprentice (under 21 years old)
When you first join you will also be charged a one-off joining fee -
$11.00 - Tradespersons
$2.20 - Non-Tradesperson or Adult Apprentice
$NIL - Junior Apprentice (under 21 years old)
You also have the option to pay your Union membership fees via direct debit. Deductions are taken fortnightly on Fridays.
